ANVIL's journey commenced in 1989 as a proprietary firm established by Mr. Anuj Sheth, supported by a team of four individuals. The firm transitioned to a corporate structure in 1997, followed by a strategic merger with another entity in 2001. Following a five-year consolidation phase, ANVIL executed further mergers with three broking firms in 2006, a move aimed at expanding market presence and streamlining all operational functions. The period between 2006 and 2010 marked a significant phase of development for ANVIL, characterized by several key milestones: * **2006:** Establishment of an Arbitrage Desk in Pune. * **2007:** Launch of the corporate website, www.anvil.co.in, and the commencement of a Weekly Newsletter. This publication included content such as Weekly Corporate News, Technical Analysis, and Derivatives Market insights. * **2008:** Publication of the ANVIL Corporate Brochure, the establishment of a Derivatives Desk, and the implementation of automated back-office software providing clients with 24/7 web-based access. * **2009:** Introduction of online trading services for all registered clients via the BSE's WEBX and NSE's NOW platforms. * **2010 (September onwards):** Initiation of a Daily Newsletter. * **Ongoing:** Expansion of the Institutional business segment, bolstered by the Research Team and the integration of Bloomberg Fix Code operations. ANVIL's operational hub is centralized at its 20,000 sq. ft. office located at 802, Kaledonia, Sahar Road, Off. W.E. Highway, Andheri East, Mumbai - 400 069. The firm currently employs a dedicated workforce of 87 professionals.
