Mr. Amit Upadhyay, Chief Investment Officer at Meenakshi Alternates Advisors LLP, brings over two decades of comprehensive fund management expertise, encompassing the entire fund lifecycle. His experience spans the management of both domestic and offshore capital pools, with a focus on Equity, Mezzanine, and Credit investment strategies. Prior to joining Meenakshi Alternates Advisors LLP, Mr. Upadhyay held significant positions at leading financial institutions, including Axis Alternates and Piramal Capital. At Axis Alternates Real Estate Fund, he was instrumental as a founding team member. In this capacity, he successfully managed two credit funds with an Assets Under Management (AUM) of INR 585 crores, generating a gross Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of approximately 19% through deployment across 11 transactions. Subsequently, as part of the senior management team at Piramal Capital, Mr. Upadhyay oversaw an AUM exceeding INR 5,000 crores. During his tenure, he achieved a gross IRR of approximately 24% by strategically deploying capital across 21 investment deals. Academically, Mr. Upadhyay is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from SDA Bocconi.
