Fund Manager
Bhupendra Meel was appointed to lead the PMS and Alternative Fixed Income division at Bandhan AMC in December 2024. With over twenty years of experience in the Indian capital markets, Mr. Meel has held diverse positions encompassing sales, investment advisory, market strategy, product development, research, and fund management across various market segments. His specialized knowledge includes fixed income markets, investment analysis, portfolio and risk management, and portfolio optimization. Before joining Bandhan AMC, Mr. Meel was instrumental in establishing and managing the fixed income operations and multiple fixed income strategies within the Discretionary Portfolio Management unit at Deutsche Bank India – IPB. His prior role was at Kotak Bank (Wealth), where for four and a half years, he served as the Head of Fixed Income Strategy. In this capacity, he provided advisory services to clients and oversaw the performance of the bank's fixed income assets. Earlier in his career, Mr. Meel worked at RBS Coutts as a Fixed Income Specialist for private banking clients in India. His professional background also includes experience in managing multi-asset model portfolios, providing institutional and corporate debt advisory services, and handling sales and investment advisory for retirement trusts. Mr. Meel holds an MBA from the Goa Institute of Management, completed in 2004. He also possesses a PGDMM from the Department of Business Administration, Jaipur, and a BBA from Sardar Patel University, Gujarat.
