Mr. Umesh Gupta currently serves as the Head of Equities for the Portfolio Management Services (PMS) division at Ambit Global Private Client and is the designated Portfolio Manager for the Alpha Growth strategy. His career spans over 22 years, with a significant 19-year tenure focused on the Indian capital markets. Before joining Ambit, Mr. Gupta held the position of Head of Equities at Avendus Capital from 2018 to 2020. His prior roles include serving as Portfolio Manager at Reliance Private Client from 2013 to 2018, and as Assistant Portfolio Manager and AVP – Research at the same firm from 2010 to 2013. Earlier in his career, he contributed as an Equity Research Analyst at Dalal & Broacha Stock Broking and Sharekhan between 2005 and 2010. He also gained experience as a Credit Officer & Business Analyst at Cholamandalam Finance and Consortium Finance from 1999 to 2005. Mr. Gupta is an alumnus of IMT Ghaziabad, where he earned his MBA. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree.

Ashutosh Garud serves as Co-Fund Manager for the Alpha Growth strategy at Ambit Global Private Client. His professional background encompasses two decades of dedicated engagement within the equity markets, initially on the sell-side and subsequently for over ten years on the buy-side. Before his tenure at Ambit, Mr. Garud held the position of Vice President and was a member of the Principal Investments team at Ocean Dial Asset Management, the Foreign Institutional Investor (FII) division of Avendus Capital, from 2019 to 2022. Prior to that, he functioned as Associate Fund Manager at Reliance Private Client between 2014 and 2018, and as Senior Equity Research Analyst at Dalal & Broacha Stock Broking from 2008 to 2013. His early career also included roles at Motilal Oswal and Prime Securities. Mr. Garud is a CFA charterholder and possesses an MBA in Finance.
